The Alchemist

Professor Schatz has discovered a way to transform ordinary metals into gold. You've got to be kidding. He's serious, Sam. We received this information from a very reliable source. Yes, as a matter of fact, our intelligence reports that are a number of other parties, opposition parties, are on their way to Flugenville right now.

But this thing is a myth. The might is touch story. It goes back to medieval legend. When the alchemists claim they could turn lead into gold. Medieval or not, the Treasury Department is very concerned.

Why? Because if it's true, it could be the most powerful weapon since the atomic bomb. The group that controls that process could determine the economy of the entire world. Can you imagine the market being flooded with all of that gold?

Our currency would be destroyed. Nations would go bankrupt. How come every time we get a nutcase, it falls into my lap? Many men were considered crazy until their theories were proven. Then they were promoted to genius.

And don't forget the crazy woman who raved about an invisible man. I get the message, I'll leave right away. Later, at a gas station on the road to Flugenville. Yes, please. And will you check under the hood?

Sure, regular a premium. Regular? It's pretty mountainous country. You won't say nothing yet. The way you're going is a steep grey. Never take it out of first gear if you want my advice. Thanks. I'll remember that. How far is it to Flugenville?

Flugenville. I'd say about 10, 12 miles, just down the mountain. Can I get some coffee around here? Yeah, we got a machine inside. Thanks. It's me. You said to call if I got any people interested in Flugenville.
