Yes! Yes! Something's wrong. Well, last year in the United States an estimated one million children suffered needlessly. Something's wrong. But they suffered not because of accidents or disease. They suffered from abuse and neglect. Something's wrong.
Or at least two thousand children died from abuse and neglect. It's 2,000 children a year whose promise will never be shared with us. Something's wrong. But it doesn't have to be. We could prevent child abuse before it happens.
