I remember my last day in the service. I packed my duffel bag, my buddies drove me to the airport. The moment I got on the plane, I was so sure I'd never wear a uniform again.
Then, a couple of months ago, I changed my mind. I got a part-time job with my hometown Air National Guard unit. They needed the technical skills I learned in the service. I needed the extra paycheck, but I'm getting so much more.
I'm working with the latest technology, getting good benefits, meeting new people, and helping my country. If those buddies of mine could see me now, they wouldn't believe it. For two days a month and fifteen days a year, I'm back in uniform, part-time in the Air National Guard, and it feels terrific.
That was the 60-second preview
