Tonight, Lady Esther and the Screen Guild Players bring you a comedy drama, To Be or Not To Be. Starring William Powell as that great Polish actor, Josef Tura. Diana Lewis as Josef Tura's actress wife, Maria.

John Hall as Lieutenant Stanislav Saponski. and Sig Ruman as Colonel Earhart of the Gestapo. Before Hitler invaded Poland, the Osefture was the star of Warsaw's Teotar Polsky and a terrific ham.

After Hitler invaded Poland, the Osefture had to work as a waiter, but he was still a terrific ham. Our story begins on that night a few weeks after the invasion. When the Osefture returned to his apartment and found his wife Maria missing, and a strange man sleeping in his bed.

So you took a running jump at conclusions and shook the fellow out of bed. Hey, what's the matter? Who were you? Who am I? Who were you? I'm Lieutenant Stanislav Sobonskin. And you're Mr. Joseph, two out of the Great Polish actor, aren't you?
