We talk Vivian Lee, to Lauren Solivier, Heather Angel, Tom Conway. The director of the Star Zone Theatre, Roger Pryor. Good evening, everyone. On behalf of your neighborhood good Gulf dealer and the Gulf oil companies, welcome to the Gulf Screen Guild Theatre.
We're making radio history here in the Gulf Theatre tonight, ladies and gentlemen, for we bring you Vivian Lee and Lawrence Olivier in Noel Coward's great comedy, Private Lives. lives. They'll be supported by Heather Angel and Tom Conway. This is the first time that Vivian Lee and Lawrence Olivier have appeared together on the air in a full length play.
You ask for them and so tonight you'll hear them. Here in the Stars own theatre. We in Hollywood consider the Gulf Theatre our own theatre because the money that would ordinarily go to the Stars who appear here, Gulf gives instead to the Motion Picture really fund to help care for the workers in the motion picture industry who can no longer provide for themselves.
At first of the floors, ladies and gentlemen, is L'Hivien Lee and Lawrence O'Livier, who have just entered from the wings. And now, private lives, with L'Hivien Lee as Amanda, Lawrence O'Livier as Elliot, Heather Angel, in the role of Sibyl and Tom Conway as Victor, the house lights dim, and that's the cube for Frank Tours.
He gives the downbeat to Oscar Bradley's Gulf Orchestra, and the play begins. Ladies and gentlemen, this story began about five years ago with a wedding, my wedding to Sibyl.
That's the third, Elliot, you knew it. It really began with my wedding to Victor. Look, Commander, will you please not interrupt? Of course I should interrupt if you persist in deliberately perverting the truth. It really began with our divorce from each other five years ago and our subsequent remarried.
