Alibi Ike

Kiddy Esther presents the Screen Guild Player. The Lady Esther Screen Guild Player tonight, Alabai Ike, the starring players, Jack Carson.

This is Joan Lauren. And this is Alan Hale. Tonight with a baseball season in full swing, Lady Esther presents the Screen Guild Players in Warner Brothers' Rolicking Story of the Big Leagues, Alabai Ike.

Batteries for the night are Jack Carson, the Francis X-Feral. Alan Hale is cat and Joan learning as dolly. The Lady Esther Screen Guild players now coming up to bat in Alibi Ike. You know they say to the baseball player is half man and half Alibi.

But the only one I ever met who batted a thousand in the Alibi League was a lad named Francis X. Farrell, a pitcher. The guy they used to call Alibi Ike. You see I manage in the cups that year and I need a good pitcher, I need him bad.

And this barrel is coming up for a trial with a big buildup too But today we start our training season all I get is a telegram from him that says He arrives the next day all right driving an old Maxwell that looked as though it had been tickled in kerosene He drives right under the field no less

In fact he almost runs me down. I get pretty mad and I shout hey The devil do you think you're doing? I'm sorry mister I was gonna blow my horn, but my brakes squeal so loud you wouldn't hurt it anyway You know how to hair before I murder you.

You don't realize who I am. Sure I do. You're a baby, bro. But you got your face lifted the fool of the pitcher. Look, this is a ball club and you're on the field. Now, beat it.
