This is the Screen Director's Playhouse, one of the weekly features on NBC's All-Star Festival of Comedy, Music, Mystery and Drama. Brought to you by the makers of Amazon for fast relief from the pain of headache, neuritis and uralge, by RCA Victor, world leader in radio, first in recorded music, first in television, and by Chesterfield,

always milder, better tasting, cooler smoking, plus no unpleasant aftertaste, and that's the biggest plus in cigarette history. Tonight the Screen Director's Playhouse is pleased to present, transcribed, the story of dramatic conflicts of life in a woman's prison.

Our adaptation is the motion picture caged, starring Eleanor Parker with Hope Emerson. And now, ladies and gentlemen, here is Miss Eleanor Parker. Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. To fully appreciate Caged, I believe it's vitally important for me to tell you a little about the background.

It is not fictional, a creation of the mind, but a shockingly factual story witnessed by Virginia Kellogg, one of Hollywood's most talented writers, who spent months living and gathering this material in a woman's prison, a very courageous woman, and a very daring expose.

I'm sure you'll find tonight's presentation very exciting and enlightening. Thank you Eleanor Parker. But before we begin, here's a word from the makers of Aniston. When we ask you to try Aniston for the relief of pain due to a headache, youritis or your alge, we're not asking you to try a new or unproved method.

For there are many people listening in now who have been introduced to Aniston tablets by their own dentist or physician. You who have received Aniston this way know the effective, incredibly fast relief these tablets bring.
