An Attempt Is Made to Kidnap Dewey Dawson

Life on the Red Horse Ranch. An attempt has been made to kidnap Dewey Dawson from Red Horse Ranch.

The boys are pretty sure that it is the work of two escaped outlaws who once were members of Trigger Dawson's old gang. Trigger Dawson, who was believed to be Dewey's father, is now dead. No one knows what the escaped outlaws want with Dewey.

And let's join the folks on Red Horse Ranch. I can do it with me all day.

Well, we'll try to satisfy your cookie. How about it boys? Yeah. That's a young cookie in the throat by Crackey. Hey, Dui, haven't you found your doll yet?

No, sir. Elizabeth's gone. I can't find him no place. Oh, don't let it worry you too much, Dui. He just wandered off chasing Jackrabbit someplace. Well, he's been gone for a long time. I don't see why he don't come back.

Here Elizabeth! Arizona was down here singing a little bit ago. I might have scared him off. Oh, Chuck, I got a beautiful voice. Just listen to this. My mother was a lady. As yours was all alone.

And you were not. Well, why don't somebody stop me? Everything will be scared off. We keep that up, Arizona. We better sing to keep Arizona quiet. Come on. Where's Alabama? I think Alabama and Tex are down in the crowd, breaking in that bay cold.

I wouldn't bother him now if I was you, Dewey. Well, what if Elizabeth was gone somewhere and he wanted me and was who not a lion's getting in? Seems to be your worryin' too much about that dog, Dewey.

I wouldn't have a dog that couldn't take care of itself. Well, listen here, Dewey. We'll sing you a funny song. Now, don't laugh at it. Not old laugh. Bob, you're just powerful mad when you laugh at him.
