First Tune - His Trademarks

Life on the Red Horse Ranch. Now let's visit Red Horse Ranch.

The boys are all down in the bunkhouse practicing the tunes that they're going to play a the barn dance to be given an honor of Miss Rose Carter, daughter of the owner of the Red Horse Ranch. Rose has been away at school and the boys are anxious to show her how glad they are to have her back by playing their very best brand of music at the dance. We join

them as they're singing an old favorite of the West. The city of Sombrero, he'll stick to his high Yes he's a quaystoggin' and coffee's a town But when to the town he's a comin'

To mix with the food he sticks to his old sombrero He sticks to his high Hey, hey, your echin' rose are like that one boys Yes, yours you will, Alabama Say, I've been practicing some tunes on my jug.

Suppose I ought to take it long to the dance? Your jug? Why sure, we can put out our best music without your jug, Idaho. That is, if it's empty. Oh sure. I wasn't counting on you for nothing but to play on for long.

Well, we'd better try another tune if we kind of want to sing in our best up there at the dance. Oh, Arizona, see who's at the door, will you? All cons are, it seems like I gotta do everything.

Here I would just get to start with my set and I have to get up. Oh, you'd better high-tail it on over there after that door before I hand you some of my boots. Oh, George, I'm going.
