Danger Bill, warrior of the woodland, struggling against extreme odds, traveling dangerous trails, fighting the many enemies of nature. This is the job of the guardian of the forest, Ranger Bill, pouring rain, freezing cold, blistering heat, snow, floods, bears, rattlesnakes, mountain lions.

Yes, all this in exchange for the satisfaction and pride of a job well done. Have you ever come across someone with an I don't give a care attitude? Sure you have. Have you seen someone driving along a road deliberately swerved to hit an animal crossing the road?

You know these kind of people just don't care what they do. They haven't the slightest consideration for the other person. And an animal is just an animal. It was this kind of attitude that stirred up the folks at three forks.

In fact, it stirred up the whole country around three forks, an area where the little Beaver Creek, Big Beaver Creek, and Cougar joined together to feed into the shady river. And this is where our story begins.

The Three-Legged Deer Bart Kean and Jake Campbell have been out all day hunting deer. The two men haven't had one good shot, and they're pretty disgusted and tired. Well, Jake, we might as well call it a day.

Yeah, seems it all a dear Vamu straight out of the country. Somethin' sure have, that's for sure. I know where we can get us a deer. Oh, yeah? Come on. Come on, I'll show ya.

I just recognize a landmark. I know exactly where we're at. Okay, Jake, lead the way. You're right. Why is a young buck? Sure. I knew he'd be there. Hey, hey, wait a minute. That's a three-legged deer.
