Dead Witnesses

Yes, it's another case for Nick Carter, master detective. Yes, it's another case for that most famous of all man hunters, the detective whose ability at solving crime is unequaled in the history of detective fiction.

Nick Carter, master detective. Tonight's curious adventure, dead witnesses. Or Nick Carter, and the mystery of the murder room. How about having me lunch with me in an hour or so Pete? I haven't seen you in a dog's age. Oh, swell, Nick. What can I make you? Well, suppose we get it.

Nick, that guy across the street, they got it. Yes, come on. Maybe he's still alive. Well, maybe, but he doesn't look so to me in a ways or a couple of them. I'm afraid you're right, Pete. Here. Help me turn him over on his back. Okay.

Well, he'll never muscle in on anybody's rackets again. He certainly took care of that. Yeah, now they can take his name off the bladder at headquarters. But Nick, did you see who was in the front seat of that death car?

Yes, Pete, I did. Slug Baron. Yeah, Nick, slug Baron in person. Do you realize what this means? We now have something we've been trying to get to the past three years. Evidence against slug that will let us put him away.

Why, every detective on the force, and he's not going to be a good guy. He's not going to be a good guy. He's not going to be a good guy. He's not going to be a good guy.

My every detective on the force including me has been trying to get something on that thug ever since he pulled his first job here. Right Pete, this should be good news to the whole city.
