So settle back, get a good rip on your nerves and be comfortable if you can. As you hear the story I call... I won't die alone. Story begins in 1931. Two young men are speeding along in a car on a lonely West Virginia road at 70 miles an hour.

There's a tight tent-sloke on the face of the driver, Steve Martin, as he takes the curves on the road without slowing down. His companion, Chuck Williams, wipes the perspiration from his face with trembling hands.

He turns and watches the road behind fearfully. Now and then glancing at Steve's face for his insurance. Turn on the radio Chuck, let's see if they got an alarm out yet. Yeah, okay. Well, what do you think a chance is us, Steve?

Hard to say. It all depends on how fast the cops spread the word. We're at quarter of a million dollars, shortly before closing. That's not good. They're moving fast. They need police, car, tent.

Highway 6B, we're on it. Yeah. That is all. Stand by for further orders. Steve, you gotta turn back, we're headed for a trap. for a trap take it easy will you have a stellar chance 20 miles ahead there's a small dirt road that'll detour us right around them 20 miles will never make it

stay isn't there any other road we can turn off on no I was born on these parts I know every inch of the country Steve let's ditch the car and cut to it the mountains on foot are you crazy it's 40 miles to the mountains we never make it walking I gotta keep driving it's our only chance right into that trap I tell
