The Bridge Game

Well, well, well, here's Mama Bloom's brood. Jacob Bloom, better known as Pa to his family, was in the knee-pants business. It was until his son-in-law Sidney persuaded him to retire.

Mama Bloom's shrewdness enabled Pa to sell out at a very nice profit. And then the problem remained of what to do. Mama and Papa were finally persuaded to take a vacation, a motor trip to Hollywood.

Their two daughters, Yetha, who prefers to be known as Yvette, and Sarah, who prefers Sally, Sally were enthusiastic, so enthusiastic in fact that they decided to surprise Ma and Pa by accompanying them. Of course the two sons-in-law, Sidney and Harold, went along.

Right now we take up our story as Ma Ma and Papa are in their suite in a fashionable summer hotel in Michigan. Tell Ma Ma. What are we going to do today? Do, Jake. Well, what they did yesterday, of course. What do you want to do on a vacation?

Boy, it wouldn't be better than sitting around doing nothing like me. I'm doing it. I'm foolish. When you take a vacation, you are supposed to do nothing. What sort of a cash in his fur?

I wish I was home. Here I got to wear white pants and be careful where I sit. And why do I have to wear black and white shoes? One color is good enough for me.

You look lovely. You look lovely. I look lovely. Nobody here looks as lovely as you do. Yeah, yeah. If Sam could see me but say I'm looking like something for my sample book. To hold up my pants I got to wear a white belt to match the pants.
