Lux presents Hollywood. Leaver Brothers Company, the makers of Lux Flakes, bring you the Lux Radio Theatre, starring Irene Dunne in Anna and the King of Siam. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. William Keelich. Greetings from Hollywood.

Ladies and gentlemen, two sparkling talents are combined for your enjoyment tonight With Irene Dunn and Rex Harrison, co-starring in the 20th Century Fox hit, Anna and the King of Siam. Mrs. Keelian and I were in Siam just before the war and made many friends there.

We visited the exotically beautiful palace grounds in Bangkok and other fascinating places of interest found in tonight's play. Something else we learned in Siam was that Lux flakes is a prized commodity there too, seeing Lux halfway around the world, well, it makes an American feel right at home.

It's curtain time for Anna and the King of Siam, starring Irene Dunne as Anna and Rex Harrison as the King of Siam. One night in the year 1862, a British vessel paused at the Harbor of Bangkok in the strange half-vibadic country called Siam.

Three passengers were brought ashore. Mrs. Anna Owens, her young son, Lou Aire, and her East Indian servant, Beebe. There's no one to meet you, Mrs. Owens. You're sure they knew you were coming? Now, don't you worry, Captain Autumn. I know you must get back to your ship.

Mrs. Owens, why did you come to Siam? But I've told your captain. I've been engaged to English to the King's children. Yes, of course, but this country, it's so totally different, ma'am. Why, there isn't even a British...

John Corn! Who's that? Why, it's Kralohom, the Prime Minister, he's come here. But who's that wretched man, Groff? Undoubtedly his interpreter. Jockon! Just a moment. Mrs. Owens, may I present his Excellency, Kralohom, Prime Minister of Siam.
