Lux presents Hollywood. The Lux Radio Theater brings you Donamichi and Lucille Ball in Lucky Partners. Ladies and gentlemen, your producer, Mr. Cecil B. DeMille. Greetings from Hollywood ladies and gentlemen.

And joining us tonight, I wonder how many of you realize you've exercised a very special freedom. It's a freedom that no fastest country enjoys. But it's guaranteed for us by a great document. The Bill of Rights.

Under this bill which America commemorates today, we can, among other things, say what we think, read what we like and listen to what we want to on the radio. And tonight on the Lux Radio Theater, your freedom of choice is bringing you RKO's delightful comedy, Lucky Partners.

It's a rollicking story of two people who believe so thoroughly in luck that they're willing to take chances on both love and horses. Now those two people in our play are tonight's stars, Donamichi and Rocio Ball.

In a little while we'll see how they make out with Lady Luck, but here's something we want to take no chances on. Our 10th anniversary celebration on October 16th. For that birthday of ours, we want you, when that means all of you, to help us select the play and stars that you want most to hear.

Just drop me a postcard dated no later than September 27th. to box nine Hollywood 28 California. Recently I was amused at a newspaper story with a London date line. A reporter's account of an interview with Adolf Montju, who was overseas entertaining the troops. He found Adolf in his hotel room bent over a cub, immersed in studs.

The reporter says he tossed me a bundle of socks, handkerchiefs and a package of lucks, which he somehow brought over in the airplane with it. And he tells how they finished that off washing and hung it out to dry from the windows of one of London's swankiest hotels.
