I agree with you. I believe that's our ring. I know his law, I believe you're right. No, see. Hello, John, I'm down, store. This is love and after. Let's see what's going on down in Pine Ridge.

Well, the old fellow's dream castle came tumbling down about their head, yesterday. When Mr. Wadsworth Tifen of the Orkney Construction Company pointed out that Mausi's wonderful world apartment project wouldn't work. The big trouble now is that Squireskimps friend Gregory W.W. Dom's has a check of theirs for $1,200, with which he is supposed to be buying lumber.

As we look in on the little community today, we find Abner in the Johnstown Storm Library. Dom has just come in. Well, what did you find out, Long? Did Dick Huddleson tell you anything? Yeah, and it ain't good news, neither, Abner.

It ain't hard. Well, if you're like me and you, you're just about $1,200. How? Dick says that check we give Mr. Dobbs is good. Yeah, but I'll never sign my signature on that one. Who says that don't matter though?

Huh? Do you want to count? Don't mean we both got to sign the check after all. It just means that either one of us can put our name on a check and that makes it legal.

Well, wait till we exactly out that much money line. Don't forget we got $1,200 worth of lumber coming. That's what Mr. Dobbs is going to do with it by lumber. Yeah, but what can we do with that much lumber?

Besides, it was bought in Mr. Dobbs' name. So it actually belongs to him? No, and I only hope now, according to Dick, is to get in touch with the bank at the county seat, and if the check ain't coming to you, tell them to cancel it.
