I don't believe that's our ring. Hi, Dogy's law, my believe you're right. No, see. Hello, John, I'm down, Storm. This is love and abner. Let's see what's going on down in Pine Ridge. The Arginee Smith hasn't returned to Pine Ridge yet, so law mistill carrying on his work for him.
However, the main topic of conversation in town is Cedric's sudden wealth. Cedric won't reveal the source of his money, but he continues to spend it with reckless abandon. As we're looking on the little community today, we find Lum in the Jotam Downs store and library.
Grandpappy Spears is at his favorite place at the library table reading a book. Here's another interesting story, Lum. This is about a king that lived way back in the old times. Crazy about gold. Say, if he had a chance to wish anything he wanted then what do you think he wished for?
I don't know when I don't care. Well, I'll tell you then. He wished everything he had touched had turned to gold. Oh, granny, I don't blame him. That's a good idea. Well, you never had no trouble paying his income tax.
No, it turned out to be a nuisance. That's the morals of the story. Everything he touched turned to gold. Go to pick up a apple or a pear off of a tree and before he could even take a bite out of it and turn to gold.
And he complained about it? Well, he never got nothing to eat. Finally, he'd test his little girl, his own daughter, and she turned to go. Yeah, it just goes to show there's something else in this world of heat, more importance than gold.
