Career Woman, Guest - Danny Thomas

Operator. Operator, will you please give me the correct time? Certainly, sir. It's a Joan Davis time. Sure, it's Joan Davis time. It's Joan Davis! Well, I guess there's no question about it. It's Joan Davis time!

It's Joan Davis! During the time you spend with Joan Davis tonight, you'll hear Joanie's special guest, the most talked about screen and stage personality in Hollywood, Danny Thomas. Plus a great supporting cast including Lionel Standard, Dora Singleton, the Corallairs and yours sincerely, Ben Gates.

Hi everybody. Hi Joni. Well friends, like a great many other members of her sex, Joan Davis has been seeking to become a career woman. She wants to get out of Joni's to your woman, do something.

But the problem is she has no training for any special job. What can she do? What can I do? What can I do? Well, I can run a, um, or I can operate an automatic gift.

Or maybe I can be a head or an assistant to say, where do I apply for unemployment insurance? But I ain't going to give up. I won't accept defeat. I've always had what they call stick to a tiv-ness and gold get a tiv-ness and never give up a tiv-ness.

In fact, I'm just loaded with tiv-ness. Well, it must be something open for someone like me who's willing to learn. After all, I'm not one of those silly ordinary girls who drink smoke, flirt, neck, and smooch.

But like I said, I'm willing to learn. But it's awful, tough finding anything. Like for instance, yesterday I went to a big employment agency. I walked in and the man in the agency said, Well, Miss, what can we do for you?
