Scary Monster

I am a scary monster, but the fact is I am unprepared. I hide here in the darkness, and the truth is, I'm the one who's scared. I don't know what I'm thinking, but there's one thing that is true.

It's time to take a chance. So I'm taking a chance on you. I'm crawling out of your closet, and out from under your bed. Creeping up from the basement You can hide when you're dead I'm coming down from your attic To scare you tonight Someone get ready, get set And go, I'm gonna give you a fright

RRRRHHH! The monster's not a monster If that monster isn't horrible So I am not a monster If you think that I'm adorable I'm noises in the hallway, I'm shadows on the wall I'm being really scary now, but are you scared at all?

When I crawl out, blow your closet, And out from under your bed, when I creep up From the basement, I will mess with your head When I come down from your attic, with my savage growls You'll be ready to poop your pants, I'm gonna loosen your bowels.

You don't seem to be terrified. I think there to be a monster in a world that's scary as can be. I hear things through the floorboards that I think are scarier than me, like pedophiles and cancer or a terrorist attack.

I thought I wanted to come out, but now I'm going back I'm crawling back in your closet And hiding under your bed, I'm creepin' down to the basement And I'll stay there instead of your attic To my little nook, with my cat and a snuggly quilt And someone milk and a buck
