Around Dodge City and in the territory on West, there's just one way to handle the killers and the spoilers, and that's where the U.S. Marshall and the smell of gun smoke.
In smoke, starring William Conrad, the trans-fraud story of the violence that moved west with young America, and the story of a man who moved with it. I'm that man, Matt Dillon, United States Marshal, the first man they look for and the last they want to meet.
It's a chancey job, and it makes a man watchful. And a little lonely. Rose when she was pretty. And that's all anybody in Dodge knew about the girl. She'd come in on the stage from the south a month before and opened a black jack table in the long branch, working on a 50-50 split with a house. The game got a
big play, of course, a woman gambler was a new thing in Dodge. And some of the smartest and crookedest card men in town started coming around to try their luck. But with Rose dealing, a house never lost.

Doc, we're not going to catch her. We're not. Now, the way she handles that deck we can sit here to doomsday and never see a thing. Maybe she's dealing on us? Maybe. Uh, Chester. Chester?
