In the town Dodge City and in the territory on West, there's just one way to handle the killers and the spoilers, and that's where the U.S. Marshal and the smell of gun smoke. Starring William Conrad, the story of the violent that moved West with young America, and the story of a man who moved with it.

I'm that man, Matt Dillon, United States Marshal, the first man they look for and the last thing what a meet. It's a chancey job, but it makes a man watchful. I was thinking about flying, Mr. John.

Real peaceful. Tom constables all I need. I'm not going to recommend the government spend any money up there. Tell me about that, Chester. Anything been happening here this past week? Nothing much. One fellow got killed last night, but outside of that it's been dull as winter.

Oh, who got killed? Why, you know, some wandering cowboy. Oh, who killed it? A man called Pete to tell me. You have a self-defenseist, don't you or anything? Did you see it? It will know, sir.

Well, who did? Well, I believe the only man who's seen the whole thing was that Gander Ben Sistle. Sistle? He's new here last few days. Ben came to Carder at the long branch. You don't seem to know a whole lot about it, do you, Chester?

No, sir, I don't. But I was just starting to find out. I don't want to see you riding up the street. Uh-huh. And... Well, were you last night, Chester? I wouldn't be no gentleman to tell Mr. John.

He he he he. I hope you had a good time. Oh, yes, right. I had a fine time. Yes. Fine. All right. You can put my horse up if you want. I'm going to go with the long run.
