The Round Odd City and in the territory on West, there's just one way to handle the killers and the spoilers, and that's where the U.S. Marshal and the smell of gun smoke. Gun smoke, starring William Conrad, the story of the violent that moved West with young America, and the story of a man who moved with it.

I'm that man, Matt Dillon, United States Marshal. The first man they looked for, and the last they want to meet. It's a chance, a job, that it makes a man watchful. And a little lonely.

Love is mournful sometimes. So I've heard it. Is that you? How have you been, man? Well, fine, thanks. Just you? Man. You down here on Front Street this time of night, alone? I'm looking for Red Lawson.

Well, they belong here, Ms. Mornay. Definitely mad. Call me Ava. Everybody else does. Your husband might take exception to that, Miss Marley. You are blaming me for what happened before I... I'm not blaming you for anything, Miss Marley.

I didn't tell him to get into a gunfight over me. He wasn't my fault. I didn't say it was. Chester, you better see that Miss Marley gets home all right, huh? Uh, if you... I can get home by myself.
