The Golden Gate Quartet Sings 069

I hear those echoes calling This is Tom Scott. Won't you come along with the Golden Gate Quartet and me as we take you back?

Back to the early days of America when the Bible was the source of song. Yes, then as now the Bible gave men the strength to live by. It comforted the tired and healed the sick.

These songs, based on biblical teachings, are the spirituals. The songs of the Golden Gate Quartet. Say... In Judgment Day, you and I have got to be ready to answer the call. Rich or poor, we'll stand up and be counted.

We've got to answer the role, the general role. Well I'll be there my lord, I'll be there, oh my good lord, when the general role is called, I'll be there, I'll be there, well I'll be there my lord, I'll be there, I can, general role is called, and I'm here, and I can't not hear, when the general role is called,

I'm here to toil alone. Just make it to the kingdom.

I won't be troubled about my soul anymore. Listen to the spiritual. I'm troubled about my soul. Lord, I'm troubled. I wonder somewhere. I got trouble.

I got trouble about my poor dying soul. But Lord, when I get in heaven, I get in heaven, you know I don't want to be trapped trouble no no no where I call, I call on my Jesus I give my poor heart to him, record you know he see me

From death and despair, good Lord now I won't be troubled I'm trouble, hey I'm trouble Brothers ain't you trouble Sues to hate you trouble Mothers ain't you trouble Decontate you trouble I, but when I get up and have a lord Don't you know I won't be trouble But Lord, trouble's about my soul
