The Golden Gate Quartet Sings 052

I hear those echoes calling, I hear those golden voices. This is Tom Scott speaking, and those voices belong to the Golden Gate Quartet.

They'd like to sing another program of spirituals for your listening pleasure. As you know, these songs, the spirituals, had their origin in the Bible, a book as modest as nature, yet as nourishing as bread itself.

Among the Bible stories set to song is the crossing of the Red Sea, David and Goliath, Samson slaying the Philistine, Adam and Eve, the story of Nicodemus and many more. These are songs based on the book of books, interpreted for you by the world-famous Golden Gate Fortit.

Sing! The Gate's message in song today tells us to seek, and he shall find, knock, and the door shall be open. Ask, and it shall be given unto you. Let's listen to those golden voices sing out the news.

You're ought to bend there Or when the law comes trickling down Well, you just seek and he shall find an arm That's knock and the door shall win Just ask and he shall be given And the law comes trickling down Why don't you seek and he shall find an arm And the law comes trickling down

Just ask and he shall be given And the law comes trickling down Well, brother, you ought to bend there Brother, you ought to bend there Brother, you ought to bend there Oh, when the love come, trickle in down Well just seek Just seek and the ego shall find You just knock, and the door shall be open

Just ask and shall be given And the love come, trickle in down Why don't you seek, but just seek and the ego shall find And just knock and the door shall be open Just ask and shall be given Mother, mother, you're hard to bend that.
