The Golden Gate Quartet Sings 032

I hear those echos I hear. Say this is Tom Scott speaking and those voices belong to the Golden Gate Quartet. They'd like to sing another program of spirituals for your listening pleasure.

As you know, these songs, the spirituals, add their origin in the Bible, a book as modest to his nature, yet as nourishing as bread itself. Among the Bible stories set to song is the crossing of the Red Sea, David and Goliath, Samson slaying the Philistine, Adam and Eve, the story of Nicodemus and many more. These are songs based on the book of books, interpreted

for you by the world famous Golden Gate Quartet. He wrote the book of Revelations. He saw many beautiful visions. Who was he? Listen, and the Golden Gate Quartet will tell you John was a writer.
