In a card game, Aces and Aits are known throughout the West as a dead man's hand. There's a good reason for it, and this is the story of how the hand got its name. Run, tier, gentlemen!
Herewith an Englishman's account of life and death in the West. As a reporter for the London Times, he writes his colorful and unusual stories. But as a man with a gun, he lives and becomes a part of the violent years in the new territories.
In just one minute we will bring you this latest report from the Frontier Gentlemen. You know the couple next door, simple, normal people whose ordinary experiences seem so much more amusing than our own. But if you haven't met these delightful young merrades, by all means, make their acquaintance tomorrow and keep up with them every weekday when they come your way over CBS Radio.
Alan Bunce and Peg Lynch, who played a couple next door, are heard over most of these same stations Monday through Friday. Now starring John Dana, this is the story of J.B. Kendall, frontier gentleman. I had gone into the store of an outfit named Judd Scott in order to purchase a new pair of boots.
This was a thriving place of business in Deadwood, and I had to wait a good half an hour before Mr. Scott was able to attend my needs. He was an affable, if somewhat talkative gentleman.
And his boots were first raped. Ah, sir, how's that feel? He's right snug to me. You walk around in him. Eh? Eh. Well, the left one might be a little tight here on the heel.
Oh, she leaves up, mister. Gotta give the leather a chance to know you. Of course, now, if you've got the time, I'm kind of pressed for the next couple of weeks. But if you've got the time, I could make your pair finest in Dakota territory.
