ep20 Bens New Organ

There's music in there! Down our way, some old-fashioned singing, and a little pleasant business with some folks we think you'll enjoy. Eli Jenkins is leader of the singing group down our way, and singing practice is held in his parlor.

That is, it's usually held in Eli's. Tonight there's going to be a change in routine, if Ben Potts has anything to say about it. Then you know, sings bass with the group, there's always been a keen bit of rivalry between him and Eli.

Ben's been wanting to get the groove over to his place for a long while. It looks as though maybe it'll work out tonight. At least he's on the phone with Eli now, putting the proposition up to him.

And so Eli, I'd like to have all the groove together here at my place tonight for practice. Huh? At your place. Now, why in tarnation should we go getting everybody all confused by changing our meeting place?

We've been gathering here for 14 years. That's just it. You've had them all this time. Now you're arguing because I want him over to my place for one evening. But then we gotta have a organ for our practicing and how can we gather at your place without nothing to accompany our singing?

Can't you leave things to me? I got a surprise for all of you. Oh, I ain't stubborn. Then if you ain't stubborn, I'll expect you all over seven o'clock. I know. Hey, wait, wait. Dang, Nabata. I don't know how, I don't have any rights left. You'd think the leader of the singing group would have something to say about where practice is held.
