Box 13 with the star of Paramount Pictures, Alan Land as Dan Holiday. Box 13, care of star times. I don't know how to ask you to do this for me because I don't know who you are, or whether you want money to help me.
I can pay a little. All I've got to help my boy. I can come to you, you can see me. I live at number two full of lights. Karen, please, if you will help, I'll do anything for you.
It was written in pencil, neatly, carefully, as if she wanted every word to count, and it led to, well, a kid, a scared kid, and murder. Oh, back to Box 13, and Dan Holiday's newest adventure, Delinquent's 11th.
That's a great observation, Susie. What brings it on? I was trying to figure out what she looks like. And did you? Well, I think I can virtualize her. Visualize. Don't try the big ones until you can handle the small ones.
What do you mean, Mr. Holiday? You work on it a while, until I get back from Mrs. Kieran. Number two, four, five, Sanders Avenue is right in the middle of a suit black and neighborhood on what is known as the other side of the tracks.
I had no trouble finding the mailbox marked Kieran, or the flat with the number four painted in white on the door. I knocked Mrs. Karen, let me in. She was about 45, worried looking, and while she wasted no time.
Will you help me? Maybe you'd better tell me how, before I answer that. I haven't much money, and I... Money doesn't matter, Mrs. Karen. Just tell me what you want. You don't take money? No, that's right.
