What happens

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello prepare for a broadcast in which Costello is to share a romantic scene with guest star Lynn Bari. Costello borrows a dinner suit, but the wardrobe mix-up, a visit to the butcher shop run by Meyer, and a series of comic misunderstandings delay them. Bari arrives at the shop to find Costello there, and the two of them discuss a play about Buffalo Bill and the Wild West. The episode is an Abbott and Costello comedy sketch from the series, first broadcast on NBC and ABC on December 16, 1943.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
