What happens

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello perform their comedy sketches on a Thanksgiving broadcast of their radio series, first aired on November 25, 1948. Costello plays a supposed football expert who boasts of wild exploits at a game, and the two trade jokes about Costello's uncle Mike, a shiftless inventor. Costello reports a Thanksgiving with no turkey, after a butcher offers him only an egg. Abbott is pursued by a secretary and Costello's teasing about his girlfriends leads to an argument. The show ends with a mock historical sketch set aboard the Mayflower, in which Costello plays John Alden and Abbott plays Myles Standish. Joe Kirk, Elvia Allman and Connie Haines also appear.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
