What happens

Abbott and Costello are making a picture at MGM, and Costello has grown conceited, boasting about his looks and his romantic appeal to the actresses. Abbott pushes him into training as a dramatic actor, and Costello tries to prepare for a serious role by studying at a school of Spanish acting. Tellingly, Costello even hopes the roles will end his comedy work altogether. The series ran on the radio and the broadcast aired on May 3, 1945, with Bud Abbott and Lou Costello leading the show, which was sponsored by Camel cigarettes and featured Connie Haines and Will Osborne's orchestra.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
