What happens

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello run a pet shop together, and Costello keeps bringing in strays that Abbott wants gone. Abbott tries to get the store in order while Costello fumbles with customers and odd animals, including a dog he claims is a champion. Mrs. Niles arrives to board her dog, Tallulah, with the partners, and her warning that they will answer for any harm to the animal raises the stakes. The program was first aired on April 18, 1946, on NBC and ABC, with Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
