What happens
Lou Costello rushes to have his striped pants shortened before his sister's wedding, and his friend Bud Abbott is left trying to help him. The pants are taken to a shop that is closed, and Costello's errand is repeatedly delayed by distractions, including a movie and a neighbor's refusal to help. The Abbott and Costello series, broadcast on NBC and ABC on March 28, 1946, features Bud Abbott and Lou Costello as the leads, with Connie Haines and Elvia Allman in supporting roles. Costello's attempts to get the trousers altered grow more tangled as the wedding approaches.

Listen for: Costello's repeated attempts to get the striped pants shortened before the wedding.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
