What happens
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello host a children's radio show that mixes comedy sketches with prizes. In a silly exchange, Costello tries to tell a story about Moby Dick, while Abbott keeps interrupting with mix-ups over words. Norma Jean Nelson, playing Cookie Bumstead from the Blondie show, joins them to sing and trade jokes. The program then runs a bubble-blowing quiz, awarding prizes to young contestants. It closes by honoring eight-year-old William Robinson Jr. for a snowstorm rescue in Cranston, Rhode Island. The series is Abbott and Costello, the episode aired on January 31, 1948, and the leads are Bud Abbott and Lou Costello.

Listen for: Costello's garbled Moby Dick story and the bubble-blowing contest.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
