What happens
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello host their children's show, which opens with bantering between the two comedians about Costello's late arrivals and wild excuses. Guest Lillian Roth, a singer, joins them and performs for the young audience, while Costello tries to keep pace with her on the microphone. The program also includes a bubble-blowing contest with prizes for the children, and the show closes with the Lou Costello Junior Youth Foundation award for a boy who showed courage during a house fire. The episode is from the Abbott and Costello series, originally broadcast on 1948-12-18 on NBC and ABC.

Listen for: Lillian Roth's songs and the bubble-blowing contest
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
