What happens
Bud Abbott's Costello invites his friend to Thanksgiving dinner, then retracts the offer after Costello's table manners prove too poor for a formal affair. Abbott later relents, grudgingly admitting Costello to dinner on the condition that he help in the kitchen and serve the guests. Costello's cooking and serving efforts go badly as the guests arrive, and the dinner descends into confusion. The Abbott and Costello program, a radio comedy series, aired on NBC and ABC; this episode was first broadcast on November 23, 1944, with Abbott and Costello in the leading roles alongside Joe Kirk, Elvia Allman and Connie Haines.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
