What happens
Lou Costello buys a racehorse named Peanut Butter and enters him in a race at Hollywood Park. Bud Abbott, playing the straight man, tries to get Costello to follow the rules of racing, from registering the horse to finding a jockey. Costello insists on riding the horse himself and bets heavily on his chances. The episode is from the Abbott and Costello radio series, first aired on May 19, 1948 on NBC and ABC, with Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in the lead roles. Connie Haines and Elvia Allman also appear in the cast. Much of the humor comes from the pair's wordplay and mix-ups over horse terms and betting.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
