What happens

Bud Abbott and Lou Costello play themselves in this 1948 episode of their radio comedy series, which aired on NBC and ABC on April 14, 1948. After Costello receives a cable from his uncle Pierre Berrello, who is in France, the two decide to travel to Paris to help with the financial troubles the country is having. Abbott is eager to become a diplomat, while Costello is keen to meet French women. Their arrival in Paris leads to a series of misunderstandings over language, a mix-up at a restaurant, and a meeting with the uncle. The episode features Susan Miller as the singing star of the show.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
