What happens
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello plan separate vacations after an argument over money and friendship. Costello, short on cash, visits Stone's travel bureau, where the proprietor Roland Stone offers a string of tours and then a cheap trip to a desert island. The two comedians end up stranded there, and the broadcast ends with the pair still on the island. Abbott and Costello's regular series aired on NBC and ABC, and this episode is from July 7, 1948, with the duo as the lead actors alongside Joe Kirk, Elvia Allman and Connie Haines.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
