What happens

A teenage boy named Ferdinand, bored and sent aboard a luxury spaceship bound for Venus, sneaks into a restricted area and meets Lee Brown, a Venusian stowaway. Brown is seeking a wife on Venus, where women are scarce, though on Earth men have become scarce. Ferdinand's sister Evelyn is drawn into the situation, and the ship's captain must decide how to handle the stowaway under strict space regulations. The story is part of the X Minus One series, aired February 6, 1957 on NBC, and is adapted from the Galaxy Science Fiction story Venus Is a Man's World by William Tenn, with Dennis Bellavio as Ford and Frederica Chandler as Evelyn.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
