What happens
Mr. Schnae is told by a prognosticator machine that he will become the new ruler by disposing of Overlord Kip. Kip, aware of the prophecy, meets with Schnae and gently pressures him to carry out the assassination as destiny requires, while Schnae resists, feeling unfit for leadership. Weapons salesman Biedrich Florier offers Schnae a bribe to shoot Kip with a Florier gun, and a radio broadcaster announces the plot to the public. Schnae's situation grows more tangled as the planned ceremony approaches. The series is X Minus One, and this episode was first broadcast on April 24, 1957.
