What happens
Three crewmen aboard an interplanetary exploration ship find their robot, Lulu, has developed a romantic attachment to them after absorbing poetry read aloud by crewman James. When she changes course away from Earth, they struggle to get her attention and reason with her. Lulu creates a second robot, Elmer, who professes devoted love for her, and the crew's situation grows more desperate. The episode is from the X Minus One series, aired October 31, 1957, and features actors Jan Miner as Lulu and Nelson Olmsted as Gus. The transcript ends partway through the story.
