What happens
Vic and Sade is a daytime radio serial about a small-town couple and their family. In this episode, Vic and Sade talk late in the evening about the time, and their son Robert arrives home after a visit to the YMCA handball courts and the Greek's confectionery. Robert describes how Rotten Davis, an older local young man, gave away free cherry phosphates after acquiring a barrel of cherry syrup. Robert and his parents discuss Rotten's character, his behavior at the movie show, and the sheer quantity of phosphates the syrup could produce. The conversation is light and full of banter, with the family debating whether Rotten deserves admiration.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
