What happens
Paul Kilburn, a talented but unreliable young architect, is fired from Joseph Abercrombie and Company after yet another late arrival and hangover. His fiancée Edith Kramer, who has financed his own office, stands by him, while he grows drawn to the wealthy Patricia Wilson. Their relationship becomes the centre of his professional success and personal turmoil. The Whistler series, first broadcast on 8 July 1951, presents the story as a mystery drama. The episode is part of the Signal Oil sponsored program.
An architectural firm and office in the United States, a banquet at the Sutton Club, and Paul Kilburn's home.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
