What happens
Henry Drake, a factory owner, begins losing hours of memory and wakes with an urge to hurt people. Worried, he consults psychiatrist Dr. Schulz, confessing that he fears what he might have done during these lapses. Dr. Schulz orders him to rest and stay away from the business, and Henry's wife, Rita, grows frightened of him. His partner, Philip Putnam, and their secretary, Ethel Watson, are also drawn into his troubles as the strange episodes deepen. The episode is part of The Whistler series, first broadcast on October 4, 1942.

Characters: Henry Drake, Philip Putnam, Rita Drake, Dr. Schulz, Ethel Watson, Jackson
Listen for: Henry's shifting memories and his growing fear of his own urges.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
