What happens

The episode is part of The Whistler, a CBS series, and this story aired on October 11, 1942, with no lead actors named in the transcript.
An upstate county town, including its wealthy side and the lower-end East Bottoms, and an island reached by plane during a storm.
Characters: Dr. Jacob Benton, Tom Benton, Nita, Harvey Gilderley, Jenkins, Dr. Groberg
Listen for: Jacob's offer of money to Nita and the argument that follows, and the events at the crash site.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
