What happens

Eve Benton overhears a deal in a cheap Kansas City hotel room over a stolen pyramid necklace and sees a man flee the next room, where another man lies dead. She takes the dead man's wallet and train ticket to San Francisco, where she meets the same man on the train, now calling himself Frank Gilby. Later she learns that the insurance investigator Leonard Quinn is offering $30,000 for the necklace, and she begins to suspect Gilby's plans.

Kansas City and a train to San Francisco, 1949 radio drama

Characters: Eve Benton, Frank Gilby, Leonard Quinn

Listen for: The overheard talk of thirty thousand dollars in a hotel room next door in Kansas City

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
