What happens

On Christmas Eve at Good Time Charlie's bar on West 49th Street, Al recounts a story from the previous year to Charlie. Al, Blondie Swanson and the Dutchman planned a robbery of a factory payroll, hiding the $50,000 stolen in an isolated Pennsylvania barn. Their journey there becomes complicated when they find Clara Bell Cobb sheltering in the barn, and Blondie becomes drawn into her troubles. The Whistler series, first aired on December 24, 1950, is a radio mystery program with its cast of Bill Foreman, John Brown, Marvin Miller, and Jack Moyles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
