What happens

The Whistler follows Sylvia Sanford, a singer married to wealthy timberland owner Dutch Sanford, who meets airplane mechanic Matt Blake on a rainy night outside Los Angeles. Their brief affair grows into a plan to be rid of her husband. Sylvia persuades Matt to consider a scheme involving Dutch's flights, and the two begin to lay out how it might be done. The episode is an original Whistler story, aired on November 11, 1951, and the Whistler narrates the events in his usual shadowy manner. The plot is still developing when the transcript ends.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
