What happens

Carl Gordon, a ski master at Sylvana Lodge in the Rocky Mountains, prepares to marry Clarinda Rogers, a wealthy heiress, during the winter carnival. Dr. Prentice, an old friend of her father, arrives and openly disapproves of the romance, warning that Carl is after her money. Carl's composure cracks when he recognises a new waitress as Frida, his wife from before the war, whom he believed dead after the bombing of Munich. Frida insists on a secret reunion while Carl must keep the marriage hidden. The Whistler series aired on March 23, 1952, and this episode is part of that run; the lead actors are not named in the transcript.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
